Access Control System at Aldo Drosina Stadium

Aldo Drosina stadium (Pula) and NK Istra 1961 presented publicly Penta`s access control system for entry and counting visitors, also known as ePass system which has been released in July 2015.

In its basic version, the system consists of fixed and mobile devices, two-way or three-way barriers and mobile/handheld terminals with software solution for access control, as well as the system of selling tickets at the stadium`s box office. It is also possible to upgrade the system in the coming period in order to achieve higher level of security using video surveillance system, full height doors ...

The system at Aldo Drosina stadium consists of eight (8) M3A tripod barriers - quality designed stainless steel barriers, with anti vandal performance, antipanic knocking arms, bandwidth 20 rev/min, signaling the direction and regularity of cards reading (1D/2D barcode paper tickets and RFID contactless cards), as well as seven (7) BIP6000 rugged handheld computers which fully meet the system requirements by its four integrated technologies (HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth, RFID) and IP65 protection.

The access control system, tripod and handheld terminals are managed by the software application, so the system is compatible with the existing ticketing system of NK Istra 1961, but it`s also fully compliant with the legislation, the requirements of the HNS and UEFA, but also can accept and work with the PCC system, city card.

Within the new control system was introduced sales of barcode tickets and RFID contactless cards based on which visitors are entering the stadium - means that barrier or handheld computers verify barcode and RFID, so this is a kind of system that from the beginning results in  significant increase of revenues per game, prevents "smuggling" tickets, also a visitor who buys a ticket knows his place at the stands, and NK Istra 1961 as user receives information of the total number of visitors, which finally enables the creation of statistical reports on occupancy, financial and other reports.
