eKarta - Buy Bus Tickets At Kiosk of Tisak!

After successfully implemented pilot project of ticket sales at kiosks of Tisak (Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Pula), eKarta system runs in full production. From now on it`s possible to purchase bus tickets for intercity lines at the 1200 kiosk of Tisak around Croatia, and map preview of sales points can be checked at following link.

This is a new project in which PENTA as an IT system integrator in cooperation with Tisak - member of the Agrokor Group, the largest private croatian company and one of the strongest companies in southeast Europe, with the largest retail kiosk chain, but also a leading croatian distributor of newspapers, tobacco products, prepaid cards and other products, runs a service eKarta- selling bus tickets for passenger transportation at kiosk of Tisak.

This service currently covers a total of 50% of all departures in Croatia and by the end of 2014 is expected to increase to a total of 70%. eKarta provides better availability of transportation services, effective use and better availability of transport capacity and the ability to sell tickets for related lines since each point of sale can issue tickets for all offered relations. Furthermore, by accepting this service carriers reduce costs through reduction of sales commissions, but also reduce the cost of own retail outlets. The guaranteed payment and shorter payment deadlines (the calculation and payments are being realized every 7 days) is another reason why carriers accept this service and are joining this project.

Therefore, passengers benefits as now they can buy tickets at 1,200 kiosks across the Croatia which have working time longer than booking office`s at the bus stations, and there`s no queues like at the bus stations. It is very easy to get information about any departure at kiosk or through eKarta official website where passengers could receive printed schedule of departures for wanted route. There are also advantages concerning the payment method because there are several options: cash, credit and debit cards of all banks, mobile phone (m-kupi services by Zagrebacka banka), but also participation at the MultiPlusCard customer loyalty program.

Passenger`s task is to come at the nearest kiosk and communicate with retailer day of departure and where wants to travel. Just specify the passenger category (eg. student, retired...), and retailer will provide information about price, carrier and if the offer is suitable to passenger, ticket will be printed as also buying process concluded. Printed ticket passenger by entering the bus shows the driver and continues with a drive to the chosen location.

It is possible to connect several lines at once when buying tickets, since it`s possible to buy a ticket to any line at the kiosk.

More information about this service is available on the official website of eKarta.
