PENTA Secures EU Funding for the Implementation of the FeelBack IoT Project

PENTA has achieved another significant milestone in the field of innovation and digital technology development. The Croatian Ministry of Regional Development and European Union Funds has issued the Decision on Funding for the FeelBack IoT project (Project Code: IP.4.1.05.0028) under the call "Support for SMEs in Istria County in the Green Transition through Production Innovations." The project has been awarded 154,775.47 EUR in non-repayable funding, representing the maximum possible co-financing rate for the project's eligible costs of 309,550.94 EUR. The total project value amounts to 347,862.94 EUR, while the implementation period is 24 months, starting on 1 June 2026.

An Innovation Combining Digitalisation and Sustainability

The FeelBack IoT project focuses on the development of an innovative IoT solution that integrates digital technologies, renewable energy sources, and circular economy principles into a single product designed for campsites and other high-traffic public spaces.

At the core of the project is the development of a smart device capable of:
•    collecting anonymous, contactless user feedback in real time,
•    monitoring environmental parameters such as noise levels, temperature, and humidity,
•    transmitting data in real time to support more efficient service quality management.

The device's unique value lies in its sustainable design. By integrating environmentally responsible technologies and materials, the project directly contributes to the objectives of the green transition, electronic waste reduction, and the implementation of circular economy principles.

A Smart Tool for Better Campsite Management

FeelBack IoT is being developed as a digital solution that enables campsite operators to make data-driven decisions based on real-time information. The combination of contactless guest feedback collection and environmental monitoring will allow operators to identify issues earlier, respond more quickly, and continuously improve service quality.
This approach will enhance guest satisfaction, strengthen customer loyalty, and improve the competitiveness of tourism businesses, particularly small and family-owned campsites that are increasingly investing in digitalisation and sustainable operations.

A Scalable Solution with Cross-Sector Potential

FeelBack IoT is designed as a modular and scalable product whose application extends well beyond the tourism sector. Following its successful development and validation, the solution is planned to be adapted for use in:
•    educational institutions to monitor student and parent satisfaction,
•    healthcare facilities for collecting patient and visitor feedback,
•    hotels, restaurants, and other tourism businesses,
•    public administration, transport hubs, and other public service environments.

This versatility creates opportunities for market expansion and wider adoption across sectors where service quality and customer experience are critical success factors. The approval of EU funding for the FeelBack IoT project represents another important milestone in PENTA's long-term innovation strategy and confirms the company's continuous investment in research, development, and the commercialisation of proprietary technological solutions.

Through this project, PENTA further strengthens its expertise in the fields of the Internet of Things (IoT), smart cities, and sustainable digital technologies, developing solutions that address today's market challenges while contributing to the green and digital transformation of society. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Croatian Ministry of Regional Development and European Union Funds, as well as to all members of the project team and our collaborators, whose expertise and commitment contribute to the successful implementation of this project. We firmly believe that FeelBack IoT will become another internationally recognised Croatian innovation with strong potential for successful deployment across European and global markets.
